CHRISTOF KOCH: Hello. I'm Christof Koch. I'm the chief scientist of the Mindscope Program at the Allen Institute in Seattle, and I'm also the chief scientist of the Tiny Blue Dot Foundation in Santa Monica, California. Like each year, I look forward to the meeting of the Center for Brains, Minds, and Machines at MIT for what the intervening year has taught us about the similarities and the differences between natural intelligence, whether in animals or in people, and artificial intelligence including the long elusive goal of AGI, artificial general intelligence that now may be within reach. The research carried out by CBMM faculty and students also helps us understand the brain, the most complex piece of active matter in the known universe. See you all in Boston.
